Review of the New iPod Touch
In a rash decision, I purchased the second generation iPod Touch. I was constantly missing appointments and having scheduling conflicts, until I bought the device.
I’m addicted to iCal and use it all the time to manage my schedule, but before my iPod Touch I was unable to check throughout the day. This feature is just on of many that makes the iPod Touch my new homeboy.
Wi-Fi is continually growing, and while it would be nice to be truly wireless all the time, I can find it almost everywhere I go. I connect on and find out the store phone numbers of almost any place through Google Maps (it’s like a phonebook of everything), then I get my latest emails from work and can quickly reply. The email feature alone is one of the best parts, I can stay on top of my ever increasing inbox.
I consider myself to be a heavy user. Connected to Wi-Fi throughout the day, playing music and videos, emailing people, checking the internet. The battery life isn’t quite what I had hoped for. That said, I think the average user will be quite happy nonetheless.
This is a great device, and a great upgrade from G1. I’d highly recommend purchasing it if you can’t afford an iPhone plan, but want plenty of the iPhone features.
