Leaked Plans for Apple Sydney Store
posted in Apple (AAPL) |While still unconfirmed by Apple (AAPL), The Sydney Morning Herald has released information about the first Apple Store to reach the southern hemisphere. The store may be open as soon as mid-2008.
The new Apple Store in Sydney is set to have three floors and be set on the corner of “King Street and George Street.” As with many of Apple’s flagship stores, it will have transparent storefront glass with a white Apple logo in the center.
The store takes obvious design cues from the famed Fifth Avenue Apple outlet in New York City, which was designed in part by Apple CEO Steve Jobs and inspired by I. M. Pei’s glass pyramid at the Louvre in Paris.
