The Verizon phones look good, but I think management is crazy to say they will kill the iphone. The Voyager and Venus have the most potential, but the iphone will be just fine. I wrote about this at my blog as well:

Ummmm - why is a comparison to the Treo a negative? I've been using a Verizon 700P (Palm OS) with Good Mobile Messaging for several months and am extremely happy with the speed of the network, the Blackberry-like feature set of Good Mobile Messaging and the build quality. The iPhone is cute, but it's not enterprise ready. I have a small software company and we could never use the iPhone - it's too basic. We need completely real-time integration with an Exchange server for email & calendaring. Try that with an iPhone...... So, Treo's are fantastic if you really need robust functionality. If you're a poseur and need the iPhone for ego stroking, go for it... I can't wait for the Voyager from LG.
